Dylan Woolfolk (Endless Poxybilities Concrete Coating)

Dylan Woolfolk is a sales consultant for Endless Poxybilities Concrete Coating, a Twin Cities company that is a premium garage floor coating installer.

Originally from New Jersey, Woolfolk and his family moved to the Twin Cities when he was six, settling in suburban Elk River.

Woolfolk’s upbringing was relatively normal, his everyday life filled with friends and trying to find his place in the world.

After high school, Woolfolk left the Twin Cities and enrolled at the University of Minnesota, Morris to study pre-med, but he soon pivoted and transferred to the U of M Twin Cities campus, where he began studying computer science.

Like many young people wading through academia, despite switching majors, Woolfolk was still unfulfilled, and he again changed his area of study, ultimately graduating with a degree in journalism.

“I liked the reading and writing that came with studying journalism, even though today, I couldn’t tell you a single book that I’ve read recently,” he says with a hearty laugh that is indicative of someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously.

“As soon as I graduated, I started looking around for journalism jobs. During that time, I was also bartending, but then I was laid off during COVID. After that, I got into the trades.”

Trading his laptop for a toolkit, Woolfolk dabbled in masonry and carpentry, but he didn’t gain momentum in the trades until he latched on with a few friends who owned Endless Poxybilities, a garage coating company.

For two years, Woolfolk installed the garage coatings, helping Twin Cities homeowners modernize their garage floors with a durable and aesthetically-pleasing product.

For context, garage coatings are installed over the concrete many garages currently have in place.

Homeowners can select from either polyurea or epoxy, although Woolfolk is quick to mention that polyurea is fast becoming the preferred product among homeowners in the Twin Cities.

“The installation of polyurea is an expedited process,” Woolfolk says, noting how a polyurea project usually is completed within one day, depending on the size of the garage, and homeowners can walk on the poly floor the day following installation.

“On the other hand, epoxy takes about three to four days to completely install.”

For reference, epoxy is typically more expensive than polyurea, and epoxy’s warranty only lasts for five years, whereas polyurea is protected for up to fifteen years.

“Polyurea has high gloss retention, looks new for longer, and grows roots in the concrete, whereas epoxy sits on top of the concrete like paint and is more liable to chip and crack, especially in the winter,” Woolfolk clarifies.

“When you drive over a polyurea floor, the poly is going to displace a lot of the pressure placed on it by the vehicle, so in that sense, it’s also a more efficient product. With epoxy, it dries very rigid, weight and pressure isn’t displaced at all, and that leads to failure. Polyurea dries like a flexible rubber material.”

When it comes to shopping for garage coatings, the price ranges vary depending on the company.

At Endless Poxybilities, Twin Cities homeowners can expect to spend around $2,700-$5,200 to install garage coatings, and that price could increase depending on the size of the garage unit.

For his part, Woolfolk does not claim that Endless Poxybilities is the lowest price on the market, but they do offer a more comprehensive warranty than their competitors, and they do not charge their clients for any change orders that may occur prior to installation.

Those two elements are part of what makes Endless Poxybilities unique, and it’s also why the highly-decorated garage coating company needs to charge more, so that they can ultimately better service their clientele over the long-term.

Consequently, that core principle of prioritizing the customer has matriculated down throughout the entire company, and it’s a big reason why Woolfolk is so passionate about what he does.

“When I go out to a customer’s home, I’m not necessarily looking to sell them something,” Woolfolk says.

“The aim is more to match the homeowner up with a product and service at the price point that they want. In that sense, I’m a consultant who’s trying to build value with the homeowner, as opposed to someone who’s going out there simply looking to sign someone up for garage coatings no matter what their circumstances are.”

In adopting this mentality, Woolfolk and the brass at Endless Poxybilities have learned that not all homeowners are meant to be their customers, and in those instances, they have no qualms about walking away from potential revenue if they don’t believe they can appropriately service a homeowner.

“I was just at a home the other day where unfortunately it didn’t make sense to put down the polyurea on their garage floor because their concrete was already so damaged,” Woolfolk explains.

“In that case, we wouldn’t have been able to warranty our work and we would have been charging the homeowner a lot of money just to put a Band-Aid on the problem.”

Adds Woolfolk:

“I’m sure there are some garage coating companies that would have been happy to sell them an inferior product and service just to make money, but at Endless Poxybiltiies we simply don’t believe in conducting business that way. We genuinely want to do right by the homeowner, and our philosophy is that by abiding by that code of ethics, the money will eventually come as a result.”

Having a strong foundation rooted in delivering outstanding customer service and exceptional craftsmanship, Endless Poxybilities is fast becoming one of the premier garage coating companies in the Twin Cities.

While leading with integrity and education has gotten them this far, the company is likely to further ascend, not because they cut corners to be able to offer the lowest price to Twin Cities homeowners, but because they have established a business model that enables them to properly service their clients.

“Again, I do want to emphasize that we are not always the lowest price in the Twin Cities, but we charge what we do in order to stay in business,” says Woolfolk.

“Many of the garage coating companies that charge a very low amount often are not servicing the homeowner correctly [in terms of warranty or inexperienced crews], and that is reflected in the fact that a lot of those types of companies go out of business in several years and then cannot take care of those same customers if they have issues in the future.”

Looking ahead, Woolfolk is excited about what the future holds for him and Endless Poxybilities.

The Golden Gopher alum says he has no plans to leave Endless Poxybilities, noting how working for a company as devoted to their customers as Endless Poxybilities is inspires him in his everyday work.

“I love our company,” Woolfolk resoundingly states.

“Before coming here, I was devoid of purpose, and struggling to figure out what it was that I wanted to do, but from initially doing installs to developing into a competent sales consultant, everything has been awesome. I see Endless Poxybilities doing big things in the space, and I’m grateful to be able to help people and be a part of this company’s evolution.” QS
