Aaron and Allen Anderson are the owners of OneGoalMedia, a video production company located in the Twin Cities.
Raised in Brooklyn Park, Aaron and Allen were born six years apart.
They both grew to love the game of basketball, which sparked hotly contested rivalries among the two, but that competitive dynamic also fostered a deep love and respect for each other.
Aaron, a 2010 graduate of Osseo Senior High School, would go on to play college basketball at the University of North Dakota, followed by an impressive multi-year run as a professional in countries like Australia and France.
Allen followed a somewhat similar trajectory.

“As a kid, I always knew I was going to be a basketball player because I didn’t like getting hit in football, and soccer was too boring,” shares Allen, who after high school briefly played junior college basketball before transferring to Bemidji State and later UW-Superior.
“I was all over the place,” Allen says of his collegiate career, which culminated during COVID, which hindered his ability and desire to follow Aaron’s path and pursue a professional basketball career.
While Aaron was nearing the end of his professional basketball run, Allen tapped into his artistic side and began producing video content.
“I was helping entrepreneurs create videos,” Allen says.
“Most notably, I helped Datrice Mulsumo, owner of Applied Knowledge Academy, scale his business to over six figures. It was at that point that I realized that video content creation is what I’m good at.”
By the time Aaron’s overseas basketball adventure ended, he had already been doing video coordination during his offseasons for UND, which sparked his interest in the subject.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Aaron and Allen then joined forces and started their own video production company, the aforementioned OneGoalMedia.
Immediately, the duo banded together and began landing clients, leveraging social media and their previously established credibility within the Twin Cities to attract clients.
For context, the first thing Aaron and Allen like to do when partnering with a client is create a branded story video for their website, which highlights a business/entrepreneur in their own unique way.
“That way you can get your message across to any future clients,” Aaron says.
From there, OneGoalMedia offers three different tiers of services.
Each package includes different amounts of filming time and deliverable final products, so as to match the particular needs and budget of a client.
OneGoalMedia also offers social media management for companies and entrepreneurs who don’t have time to adequately preside over their social accounts.
“A lot of business owners and entrepreneurs don’t have time to be on social media. Because they are so busy, they don’t allocate time toward uploading videos and writing copy, but we can eliminate that task and free up more of their time,” Aaron says.
“With our social media management package, all a business owner has to do is know what kind of information they want to get across to their customer base, and we handle everything from there.”
As far as operations are concerned, Aaron and Allen both shoot the content for their clients, and even though they both are more than capable editors, they typically will outsource that aspect of their service to the other people who are part of their team at OneGoalMedia.
“When you open up your Instagram, it seems like everyone is a photographer or videographer these days, but we aren’t doing this part-time, and it isn’t a hobby. This is our business, and we are serious about it,” Aaron emphasizes.
“That’s also why we are more uniquely suited to help businesses and entrepreneurs, because we have the infrastructure in place to meet deadlines and make sure we are getting content out when it’s needed by our client, and not just when it’s convenient for us to finish it.”
Adds Allen:
“I don’t know if there is another set of brothers who are in business together and doing what we do. We complement each other really well because where Aaron might struggle, I can pick him up, and vice versa.
“It’s that type of dynamic that makes us even more appealing to our clients, because there are multiple ways that we can approach a problem using our different skill sets.”
For reference, because OneGoalMedia consistently delivers on their lead times, and because they have a team behind them helping deliver on their production timelines, Aaron and Allen’s services rarely are the lowest price on the market.
At the same time, the Osseo alums aren’t trying to appeal to clients whose primary concern is paying bottom dollar for video services.
Rather, OneGoalMedia typically attracts and retains clients who are concerned with finding someone who is reliable, talented, and doesn’t have to be constantly hounded for information and deliverables.
“I have a lot of conversations with potential clients who don’t like the revolving door of videographers they continually have to go through,” Aaron notes.
“Frankly, the reason that those clients end up going through a lot of video guys is because they’re usually searching for the lowest price as opposed to looking for a company that can produce on a mass scale. In that sense, I always tell clients that they can continue to burn through video guys and save a little bit of money, but it also becomes a matter of how many times do you want to have the same types of conversations with a new videographer before you prioritize working with someone who knows exactly what you’re looking for and can deliver on previously established expectations?”
Adds Allen:
“There is always someone who is willing to do it cheaper, but as we have evolved as a business, we’ve quickly realized that our ideal clients aren’t looking for the lowest price. In fact, they would rather pay more money and know that they don’t have to stress over the quality of their content and how that’s affecting their brand or business.”
“It’s important to keep in mind that often freelancers are working with a bevy of clients, and they are doing everything from the shooting to the editing, which really limits their time, and what happens as a result is that those videographers will prioritize their more expensive clients and not give a quality service to the clients who are paying less.”
That last part, about disregarding certain clients in order to prioritize a bigger fish, is exactly where Aaron and Allen excel, not only because they abhor the concept of poor customer service, but also because they have established a proven way to shoot content, get it to their editors, and then deliver the finished products on time.
“That goes back to having systems and knowing how to effectively manage clients and expectations,” Aaron says.
“The last thing we will do is shoot a video on a Monday and then deliver it two weeks later. We think our clients deserve better than that, which is why we have been so intent on developing a team that can give us that backend support and make our clients happy.”
In the coming years, OneGoalMedia is aiming to broaden their operations to be able to serve thirty full-time clients, but Aaron and Allen also have other aspirations, some of which involves delving into more artistic projects.
“We ultimately want to expand into documentaries,” Aaron mentions.
Adds Allen:
“The documentaries will be awesome, and that will come in due time, but the priority today, and for the future, will always be to deliver an outstanding service to our clients.”
